Description:
Rooted deep in corrupted soil and swollen with concentrated aether, the Thornroot Bloom is a carnivorous plant-monstrosity that lies dormant until disturbed. Its closed bulb conceals a cluster of venomous barbs and gas-emitting spores, while its thorn-laced vines extend underground, allowing it to lash out with surprising range.

The Thornroot Bloom is ancient and territorial believed to be the final defense system grown from bio-aetheric seed stock developed in the Skyforge Verdant Labs. Though immobile, its combat capabilities make it a threat in close quarters or narrow passages.

Behavior:

• Dormant until approached, then opens and lashes out with thorned roots.
  
  

• Periodically emits spore clouds, obscuring vision and weakening stamina regeneration.
  
  

• Can’t move, but roots may ensnare players who stand too close for too long.
  
  

Weakness:

• Vulnerable when its bulb is fully open. Fire-based abilities bypass its natural resistances.
